One positive thing about the drought we're having, it lets you enlarge and deepen the tank. We are down to a 3 ft. square area of water on the deep end. The shallow end of the tank is dry enough for our neighbor to use his bulldozer.

By the next day, what used to be the shallow part is now twice as deep and twice as wide-which means it will hold a lot more water. Maybe that means it will take it twice as long to dry up next time if, Heaven forbid, there is another long drought.

Will it be a swimming hole? I would like that. Hubby would like it if you put trout in it.

Droughts are kind of scary, and make me remember no matter what wonderful and amazing things man can do, man cannot control the weather and send down the rain! Hope God provides much needed moisture for you soon, but as you said, good time to get some things done you could not do otherwise!
lol - my husband wants a tractor so bad even though we would probably only use it once a year. the picture kind of reminded me of him.
