The Extraordinary Light of the Morning Sun

Very ordinary things become beautifully illuminated and extraordinary in the first burst of morning sunlight.

Wild, native Persimmons

Johnson Grass with full seeded heads.

A broad Mesquite tree on the fenceline

Perennial, beautiful purple native Liatris

Native grass in full seed that is my lawn
The morning colors are vivid and the shadows are intense. The first sun hits the tops of the trees, leaving the rest in dark coolness.

Persimmons grow wild there?I do not ever recall tasting a persimmon, and I have lived in the South. I think I am going to make sure I taste persimmon this coming year.

Liatris grows wild there too? We buy the bulbs to plant and then tend them well. It does well here, but knowing it is wild in your area tells me I had better find a more suitable place to plant it.

The sunshine in the Autumn is the prettiest I think, crisp and clear without being too hot or hazy. Your morning sunshine is just beautiful~
