Let's take at look...
MELODY:this song is definitely "Bridge over troubled water".
PATIENCE: one day, the rains will come and the family will return to sit here, watching the dragonflies land on the water.
HIDDEN: Amos verses the herons. Do you see him on the other side of this little pinetree?
MEMORIES: all that is left to remind us of a tiny family who once lived here.
SECLUSION: this narrow path is surrounded by youpon and cedar, hidden from everything except the birds.
SECLUSION: this narrow path is surrounded by youpon and cedar, hidden from everything except the birds.
ENCROACHMENT: the cold front marches toward us and banishes the warm Southern breeze.

these photos really make you think.
Portraits of Texas from someone who loves Texas....and knows her home. Very descriptive of your home...I have also thought Herons to be our era pterodactyls.
My children are thinking about moving to Texas and after visiting where excited by how green it is but we pointed out that some of the state is a lot like here in Nevada. I too took on the weather today. Your photos are so well taken and were enjoyable to see,

I love great blue herons. They are so beautiful and majestic. Great photos.
I look at all our empty nests filled with snow and wonder what all the birds who are still around do for shelter during the winter.
Texas Pterodactyl That's awesome.
My husband has been living in TX for over 2 years now. He came back this weekend,(the midwest) and missed the warmer TX winter! He froze and got car sick on our bumpy country roads! LOL
