He's ready to lie his head down but then I call his name. He perks up his ears but that is all.
He practically ignores me the next time, so I reach out and touch his nose. He turns to look at me this time, a little puzzled and maybe a little annoyed.
He turns to lie down. I touch his nose again. He perks his ears again but doesn't turn to look at me.

Amos is so cute I would have a hard time resisting the temptation to mess with him a little bit too. He has such an expressive face and his little nose is just begging to be touched.....so really , it is his fault you want to mess with him!That's what he gets for being so cute.
Sometimes I wish they could speak words to us so we'd know what our dogs are thinking - when I am messing with one of them - I don't really want to hear how irritated they must be! Your Amos is adorable -
